Quick one. A couple of sites I looked at show everything in AED, balance, bets, the lot. Looks reassuring, like it's made for us here.
But a mate told me it's basically fake, that they just display dirhams on the screen and the actual money sitting behind it is dollars or euros, and you lose a bit on conversion both ways without really noticing.
Is that true across the board? Or are there any that actually hold and settle in AED for real? Trying to understand before I deposit anything. I get that these are all offshore and there's nothing licensed locally, just want to know if the AED thing is genuine or just a display trick to make it feel familiar.
